The young singer-songwriter Pastel (that's her real name!) is one of Montreal's best kept secrets.
At only 22 years of age, she introduces Painting Fears, her first collection of tasty folk-pop songs that are delicately crafted with beautiful arrangements and poignant deliveries.
 
Recorded in Montreal, at Studios Victor and in Los Angeles at Sound City Studios -a mythical location where The Beatles and Nirvana have also recorded- The young singer-songwriter surrounded herself with a brilliant team of experienced and talented musicians to record the album's ten tracks. Éric Boudreault on drums, Scott Feldman, Jean-François Goyette and Roman Moretti on acoustic guitars, Jean-François Langevin, Jean-David Lévesque, Pascal Bédard and Jeff Handford on bass, Scott Feldman and Gilbert Krause on piano and Ariane Ouellet on violins, have all contributed to Painting Fears.
