The young singer-songwriter Pastel (that's her real name!) is one of Montreal's best kept secrets.
At only 22 years of age, she introduces Painting Fears, her first collection of tasty folk-pop songs that are delicately
crafted with beautiful arrangements and poignant deliveries.
Recorded in Montreal, at Studios Victor and in Los Angeles at Sound City Studios -a mythical location where The Beatles
and Nirvana have also recorded- The young singer-songwriter surrounded herself with a brilliant team of experienced and
talented musicians to record the album's ten tracks. Éric Boudreault on drums, Scott Feldman, Jean-François Goyette
and Roman Moretti on acoustic guitars, Jean-François Langevin, Jean-David Lévesque, Pascal Bédard and Jeff Handford
on bass, Scott Feldman and Gilbert Krause on piano and Ariane Ouellet on violins, have all contributed to Painting Fears.
Pastel will hit the stage of small clubs and cafés in Quebec and Ontario following the February release of her first recording.
