THE BROS ARTISTS

Pat The White
(down) [Records]

Eastern Quebec's premier Blues Festival, the Carleton Blues Fest, has been a hotbed of up and coming Blues artists from around the country for many years and Bros is proud to present the cream of the crop, Pat the White.

A native of the small town of Carleton in the Gaspesie region, Pat the White and his stellar young band has grabbed the attention of many in the region and abroad, already winning the Montreal Blues Society's annual award for Best Artist on Stage as well as playing for and with the best across la Belle Province and even in the cradle of the Blues, Mississippi (he should be returning to the state this summer). A premier guitarist and vocalist, his greatest asset is the energy he propels on stage, casting a spell on anyone and everyone who but glances in his direction during his spectacular solos!

On his first complete album, Pat the White and his band are accompanied by Nanette Workman (on the duet "Feels like Mississippi"), Harmonica player phenom Guy Belanger (Bob Walsh) and saxophonist Jody Golick (Stephen Barry Band) to bring you a refreshing look at guitar-driven Blues, with widely varied arrangements to traditional songs and original compositions. With this new album and planned tours for 2004 in the province, Pat the White is on the verge of becoming the next Blues master.
