    RECENT LABEL ADDITIONS

With our recent success with Dubas Musica, the wonderful Brazilian label representing Celso Fonseca, Wanda Sa and other bossa nova icons, Bros has recently signed two new labels from Brazil. Velas Records, founded by none other than Ivan Lins, has combined both classic recordings of brazilian music by artists such as Elis Regina and Quarteto Jobim-Morelenbaum with original music from Cuba by X Alfonso (three nominations for this year's Latin Grammys), Sintesis (also nominated), just to name a few. The second label, Rob Digital, specializes in music from the cultural heart of Rio de Janeiro and their first Canadian release, due out in October, is a special album by Marcos Valle recorded live, right here in Montreal, titled "Samba de Verao".

Bros has also signed with numerous independent labels from Canada, notably Steve Hill's label TRMafia, whose initial release by the Junkyard Dogs is a growling, howling rock album! Also, Elyra Campbell's recent independent release "Girl in a Tree" gives a whole new feel to Celtic music, combining a haunting voice to eclectic melodies shaped with celtic harps, percussions and, with the help of special guests Zubot and Dawson, sweeping violins and guitars. And finally, Paulo Ramos' new album "Brasil em Fevereiro" confirms Mr. Ramos' place as Ambassador of Brazilian music in Canada!
