    OUR ARTISTS...

    Nanette Workman

Nanette Workman's second album with Bros, "Vanilla Blues Café" is now in its final stages of production and will be released mid-May. You can expect a few hit singles from this album as she has collaborated with Eric Lapointe, Quebec's superstar rocker, on a remake of "Rock Steady" (Bryan Adams and Bonnie Raitt). She's also recorded a very special, very blues-rock version of "I Lost My Baby", Jean Leloup's mega-hit. Both singles should get major radio play across the province and hopefully across Canada and expect massive media exposure for her and the album! As for "Roots'n'Blues", her first album with Bros, it will finally be released in France at around the same launch date as "Vanilla Blues Café" in Canada.

    Junkyard Dogs

The Junkyard Dogs' six-week tour across Quebec with Steve Hill (they became his official band) is finally over, but don't fret, they're not done yet!! A few more concerts are booked for the band during the summer months to promote their album, "Bow Wow" (which Steve Hill co-produced) so don't miss this gritty and powerful band on stage!

    Kim Richardson

You might recognize the name as one of the most prolific and versatile singers in Quebec, having accompanied Celine Dion, Lara Fabian, Bruno Pelletier... and appearing on numerous television shows. Well, she's finally decided to spread her talented wings and pursue her own solo career and Bros is proud to have Kim Richardson on their roster of artists. Stay tuned for a new album, it's going to be a gem!

    Cantabile

British vocal quartet Cantabile is presently touring Quebec: over thirty shows of humour and awe-inspiring voices. Imagine your favorite songs by the Beatles, Frank Sinatra... sung classically by four virtuosos of opera. Their recent album, "From Madrigal to McCartney, live from Singapore" is already a hit and they've decided to return later next autumn for a Canadian tour. Find all their tour dates at www.cantabile.co.uk.

    Soraya Benitez

All it took was one great appearance at one of the top musical conferences in the province and Venezuelan singer Soraya Benitez' popularity has rapidly escalated both nationally and internationally, with many festival dates lined up for this summer and a special July concert in Jerusalem!!

    AND LABELS...

Less than a month ago, we released new albums by two of the most influential African artists of our time, Boubacar Traore and Bembeya Jazz. Since then, word-of-mouth on this CD has been incredible, already selling over 500 copies of each. Boubacar's new album, "Je chanterai pour toi", is a great sonic soundscape of his home-country of Mali, with appearances by Rokia Traoré, Ali Farka Touré and many others while Bembeya Jazz's "Bembeya" holds true to their musical roots of blending the best percussions with guitars. Both are masterpieces and a must for every African music fan!

Again, we would like to thank you for your support, and all comments or questions are welcome at productions@bros.ca. You are the reason we keep on producing and distributing the best in Blues and World music.
